Attorney at Law, Gregory Michael Nordt, Esq.
Gregory Michael Nordt was born in Queens, New York. He earned a B.S. in accounting, cum laude, from Florida State University, a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami, and an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida. While at the University of Miami, he was awarded the distinguished Dean’s Fellow award. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996 and is currently a member in good standing. Mr. Nordt's areas of practice include: foreclosure defense, banking and finance law, tax law, IRS tax controversy, and forensic loan auditing.

Prior to turning his focus to help homeowners, Mr. Nordt worked in the Miami metro area at Lamont & Neiman, P.A. and Greenspoon Marder, P.A. where he focused on corporate law and IRS/foreclosure defense. His unique blend of experience drives the corporate focus of our firm to become the preeminent resource for distressed homeowners seeking a foreclosure solution.

Negotiation is an integral part of foreclosure intervention. A successful foreclosure negotiation often involves an element of persuasion accompanied by a presentation of the facts. You may have heard the phrase, “You can look at the glass as half-empty…or half-full”. We take the position that “It is a FULL-SERVING--it’s just poured into a large glass”. This is an analogy of Mr. Nordt's negotiation philosophy.

Of Counsel Attorney, Joseph J. Pappacoda, Esq. (view website)
Mr. Pappacoda concentrates his expertise in criminal trial, bankruptcy, forensic mortgage auditing, foreclosure defense and victim's rights, having worked in these areas as a lawyer for more than twenty years. As a former Florida Assistant Statewide Prosecutor, former Florida Department Of Law Enforcement Special Agent, and former big four accounting audit senior accountant, Mr. Pappacoda's specialty relates to financial fraud, insurance fraud and white collar crime investigations. With Mr. Pappacoda's background as a senior accountant responsible for financial statement audits for major corporations, which included internal accounting control audits, tax return preparation and supervision of accounting staff personnel, he is an expert auditor with a keen eye for federal violations and an advocate for his client's rights.

Mr. Pappacoda stresses that bankruptcy is not for everybody and an individual consultation is always necessary in order to determine whether it is right for you; this is determined after an analysis is made of your assets, income level, debt, and other factors relevant to your filing under the United States Bankruptcy Code.

If you are faced with a foreclosure action on your home, you must consult with a knowledgeable attorney and be prepared to fight the foreclosure lawsuit, all with an eye toward inducing the mortgage lender to restructure your mortgage loan. You may have legally cognizable Motions To Dismiss, Affirmative Defenses, and other legal rights, which may delay the foreclosure action and your ultimate eviction, and place you in the light most favorable to renegotiating your mortgage with your mortgage lender. There are many possibilities and outcomes in the foreclosure arena, and you must consider exploring all of them with the advice of a qualified attorney.

Who We Represent

Our clients include distressed homeowners who have been victimized by the proliferation of sub-prime and predatory lending as well as those who have experienced significant interest rate increases due to ARM adjustments and homeowners who have witnessed double-digit percentage declines in property values which has stripped the equity out of their homes.

Steadfast Protection For Homeowners

The attorneys and legal assistants at our firm are equipped to stand up to mortgage lenders and servicers with the goal of obtaining loan restructures that keep our clients in their homes with affordable payments. Drawing on our network of professionals, we staff teams of experts with tailored skill sets and experiences to achieve specific client objectives.

Whether our clients have never missed a payment or have missed several, we employ our best efforts to obtain a favorable loan restructure. We are deeply committed to personalizing the loan restructure process, thus bridging the gap between homeowners and lenders in every aspect of our work. By dealing directly with mortgage lenders we have lowered monthly payments, re-negotiated interest rates and principal balances, and saved many homes from facing foreclosure.

In connection with our forensic mortgage audit services, our firm reviews loan documents and closing packages. In our audits we have found a variety of misleading disclosures, predatory lending, RESPA, Truth-in-Lending, and GFE violations for a majority of the clients that we have worked with. Negotiating with lenders under the auspice of these legal violations, we have been able to reduce principal balances to the fair market value of the property, stop foreclosure sales, and obtain affordable monthly payments for borrowers that have suffered financial hardships. Throughout the process, our firm understands that clients want to be kept informed of their case details and we make time to personally speak with them and provide frequent status reports via a real time, live website where all clients can log in to review their case status 24/7.
